About Us
Hi! My name is Brooke, I am the owner and creator behind Misty Creek Soap.
I started my soap making journey back in 2017 as a hobby when I lived the Pilbara in Western Australia. Summertime was dry and hot with temperatures in the late 30’s to early 40‘s degrees Celsius, and the only place to be was inside in air conditioning. This is why my hobby of soap making came to be.
Nowadays I am a Dairy Farmhand/Milker for Mungalli Creek Dairy on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland, at their Home Farm. These days instead of being cooped up in air conditioning, I muster cows taking in beautiful scenery, enjoy being rained on (that never happened in the Pilbara!), and take in the misty mornings of the early fog setting in the valley’s (even if I were wishing I was still in bed…), and working to the hum of the dairy and greeting the girls as they come in for milking.
Misty Creek Soap came into existence in April 2024 after I was approached by Mungalli Creek Dairy to become a soap supplier for their Farmhouse Cafeteria gift shop. This was an unexpected opportunity given to me that came about from word of mouth that I was a hobby soap maker.
My niche biodynamic cow’s milk soap range came about from the idea of using Mungalli Creek Dairy’s award winning biodynamic cows milk in Misty Creek Soap bath & body products that I make. The milk comes straight back to Misty Creek Farm after I milk the girls (cows).
As I develop new products and teach myself new skills, my aim is to ditch commercial products that I use on my own body and switch to more natural based products that I can create and share with you too. With the intent of using simple and natural ingredients that you can understand when reading an ingredient list, and know easily that they are better for you.
Misty Creek Soap Bath & Body products are made in small batches at Misty Creek Farm in Beatrice, FNQ, Australia.
