Collection: Natural Deodorant Collection
Misty Creek Soap Natural Deodorant
The natural deodorant collection I have created has come about from my personal desire to firstly save some money by not buying aerosols from the supermarket. One day when I was reviewing my shopping budget I decided firmly that enough was enough. I wasn’t going to buy anymore and I needed to bite the bullet and make my own. The switch wasn’t to hard to do since I was already using the same ingredients needed to make natural deodorant in many of my other products.
I also wanted to detox my body from ingredients within the aerosols and antiperspirants that were not good for my health - the aluminium being my main reason. My husband was also onboard with this change, which made the decision much easier.
When I first started making my natural deodorant I did use baking powder - during my trialing stage. But I soon switched this ingredient out to bicarbonate of Soda instead since it was already a substantial ingredient I was buying as a raw material for my bath bombs. And also because baking powder is contains acid salts which can be synthetically and chemically made. This was the main reason why I no longer wanted to use it as an ingredient in my natural deodorants.
i know that some people can be sensitive to bicarbonate of Soda in natural deodorant. Although there is only a small amount used, do use caution if this is you and discontinue use if any irritation occurs.
You might also ask, why not make the natural deodorant in a stick form or without the bicarbonate of Soda?
My answer to 5his is, I simply can’t make everything to suit all preferences and body types - when you keep making new products you add more costs in packaging, new ingredients and new labels. Believe it or not a simple change this adds up quick when costed out and soon becomes unviable.
